The Power of December Reflection

The final month of the year is a powerful one. It signifies closure and invites us to reflect on the year we just had.

While many of us rush through the month in the busyness of the holidays, it’s important to remember that there is still a full chapter left in the year. It’s not too late to reflect on yourself, work on your goals, make progress on your dreams, and live memorable experiences. Don’t write off the month and wait until the new year to make things happen.

December is an opportunity to shape a meaningful conclusion to your year. Make each day count.

By practicing and using these December journal prompts, I invite you to take time to reflect on yourself, your year, and to imagine what more December has in store for you.

End the year well, to start the new year strong.

Setting the Tone for Journaling

One of the best ways to make your journaling practice a ritual that you adore, is to set the tone. Make it warm, cozy, inviting, and remember that it’s a self-care practice that you get to enjoy.

Personally, I love journaling either first thing in the morning while the world is still quiet, or right before I go to bed. In both instances, I find the quiet allows me to dive deep into my thoughts and let them unfold on paper.

Set the tone for your own journaling practice that makes sense for you, your schedule, and your environment. Make it a practice that you look forward to doing daily.

A few other ideas include buying a beautiful journal that inspires you and a pen that you enjoy writing with. Grab your favorite mug and prepare a warm cup of tea or coffee. Light a candle and set the mood.

This moment is all yours. Make it inspiring.
