Reasons To Use This Free Daily Planner
There are so many great reasons to plan your daily schedule.
Here are the top benefits I’ve found:
1. Start your day with a powerful mindset
If you fill in your daily planner at the beginning of the day, before all the distractions of the outside world, you can be more intentional about your day, rather than reactive.
Not only that, but by practicing gratitude and daily affirmations, you can start your day on a positive note and remind yourself of just how wonderful you are.
2. Stay organized
If we don’t plan our day, it’s easy to get pulled in many different directions. Our mind feels cluttered with multiple tasks we need to accomplish in the different areas of our life. It’s overwhelming!
By organizing our thoughts on paper, we can also reduce the overwhelm and effectively prioritize what’s important.
3. Check-in with yourself
Filling in a daily journal is a form of self-care. You’re checking in with yourself. You’re writing down tasks and events that are important to you.
These are all things that help you progress and move forward in life. It’s part of your personal development journey!
Treat the 5-10 minutes while daily planning like a mini-meeting with yourself. It’s a simple routine that can result in much bigger successes when looking at the long run!
4. Be productive & effective
More than anything, the ultimate point of having a planner is to be productive.
Check off your to-do lists. Make sure you don’t forget to do something or attend something.
Whether it’s for life, work, business, or any other part of your life, you want to ensure you’re making the most of your days!
How To Use This Free Daily Planner Printable Template
There are 7 parts to this printable template. Let’s walk through how to use each section.
Gratitude
According to Harvard Health Publishing, “gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness.”
What are you grateful for? Starting with gratitude puts you in a high-vibe state, leaving you in a positive mood to start your day.
Note down 1-3 things you’re grateful for. Feel the emotions of gratitude and let it affect your mood.
Remember that you can be grateful for anything, whether it’s the big things or really little details about your life. The most important thing is to acknowledge what you’re thankful for and feel all the positive feelings. This opens up the doorway for more to enter your life.

I AM Affirmation
Affirmations are positive statements we can use to help challenge our negative thoughts and beliefs. The more you repeat affirmations, the more that you speak them into reality.
In particular, I AM affirmations help you stay motivated and empowered. I AM are two of the most powerful words put together because anything that comes after that reflects your personal self-image.
The more you put positive, uplifting words and thoughts after I AM, the more you will start to believe that for yourself.
Not only that, but affirmations help you quiet your inner critic, release negative thoughts about yourself, and think more positively overall.

Today’s Focus
This section is about defining the overall focus of your day. That might mean something different, depending on the day.
For example, this could be the most important task to complete for the day. Alternatively, your focus might be a big event that you have for the day. You might instead include what the highlight of your day is expected to be.
The main point of this section is to note down the most important thing to keep on top of your mind.

3 Priorities
It’s important to narrow down your overall task list into 3 main priorities. What 3 tasks will move the needle the most? These can be different tasks from the different categories in your life.
If you’re stuck deciding what to prioritize, you can ask yourself:
What 3 things will I be most proud of accomplishing by the end of the day?
What 3 things will make the biggest difference in my life?

Keep your focuses and priorities in mind. Stick to what you say you’ll do and take action.

Review throughout the day
If you feel lost or unproductive, check back in with your plans from the morning. It’s easy to let the day run you instead of you running your day. Keep your plan by your side to always know what you’re working towards.
-
Adjust if needed
Of course, things change. Allow room for flexibility and allow for adjustability as needed.
-
Check things off and celebrate wins!
It’s important to celebrate what you’ve accomplished! By checking things off throughout the day, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment and stay motivated to continue through your day and crush those tasks.
