Affirmations are one of the most powerful tools I’ve used in my personal development journey. By stating affirmations every single morning, I’ve been able to motivate myself and feel empowered to live my best life and follow my desires.

Essentially, affirmations are statements that declare something to be true. Whenever we repeat empowering statements to ourselves, the more we reinforce the truth of that statement.
It’s for this reason that affirmations are an incredibly popular personal growth tool. By intentionally choosing affirmations that we resonate with, and repeating them often, we get to create our dream life – one affirmation at a time!
The Benefits of Using Affirmations
If you’re still unsure about how affirmations work, here are a few benefits to using affirmations.
1. Overcome negative thoughts
Instead of spiraling through negative thoughts when something unpleasant arises, we can repeat affirmations to ourselves. Affirmations are usually framed positively, and can directly combat negative thoughts that may be holding us back.
For example, your negative thought might be: “I am not good enough.”
The affirmation you can use instead is:
“I am worthy, deserving, and can have anything I desire.”
2. Rewire your thought patterns and create new beliefs
The words we choose matter. If we use positive language and repeatedly think positive thoughts, this can influence our thought patterns.

There are plenty of ways to use affirmations in your life. Let me share a few ways that I’ve used personally and have worked for me.
